Schedule And Permits by Havelock Hewes
I have received a permit extension at Hecksher Field through October 14! We will be playing on Field #5 instead of Field #1 in September and October.
From October 21 through the end of November I have a permit reservation for one of the tenth street fields.
Tony thinks it is very probable, though not guaranteed, that the 241street field in Riverdale will be available in October.
We would save money by switching to the Riverdale field in mid-October instead of the first week in December.
The offensive production would go up because of the short fence.
My recommendation is to take the permit for tenth street through November. However, before making a final decision, I'd like to hear what others think. Please leave your comments here but remember to include your name. I will not take into consideration any anonymous opinions.

Is it possible to get any other fields from the FDR drive? 10th Street fields are the worst of the bunch and the other ones are artificial, cleaner and don't have any short fences.
Also, as I suggested last year, is the 26th street and 9/10th avenue. Does have a short right field but you can just make that into a double. 27th Street is easy to get to with a number of subway nearby and easy parking as well on Sunday mornings.

My feeling about 27th street is that the extreme shortness of the right field fence makes it unacceptable.
It is my understanding that the fields in Riverside park are permitted for soccer

Increditble that you would say the extreme shortness of the right field fence is unacceptable but you would allow 20 - 30 plus games in riverdale where the left field fence is short and has yielded the majority of the homeruns this year due to the higher percentage of power hitting righties that we have.
