I apogize for being so intense during the game,, I just like to win n winning is e everything to me as well as hopefully to you. The heat gets to me as well but I really hope I dont offend anybody when I say thatwhen I give u 100% that expect you to give me 90%atleast cause if u dont then let havie know so u dont get me upset n I gatta kick ur lazy why does this world treat me bad to the curve or in baseball term,,.kick the dirt of ur ass lol. Alot of u players r great to be playing with but there r a few that get to my chingalas doh". Who knows what the future holds but if I compete to win why can you?? I will take it easier on you n on myself n enjoy the game more n not worry about who is doing what. Much love for you all n continue down this path of SFLOI.
Hello Dagame,
Everything you said makes sense. But you have to remember that you have also made mistakes and errors playing the game.
The only difference is nobody calls you out on it or yells at you or criticizes you. We are grown men having fun and we all make errors.
We know that when you make an error or base running mistake you will be hard on yourself but you don't hear it from the other players do you?
The point is when you get upset at another player for making an error, remember you are not perfect and no matter how many mistakes or
errors you have made or are going to make, there is not one player that will call you out on it. It's not because of fear of you but more of respect.
Please still bring the intensity and love for the game, God knows we need it, just take a deep breath when someone makes a mistake and handle it
like Jeter would or in your case like Carlos Zambrano would!
Fellas,
In today's first of game of July 8, I misjudged and got burned by a shot by Bob Holzwasser over my head and some runs scored.
In the second game I overthrew to Joe Geller at second and Alex Rivera scored all the way from second. Like anonymous said
in the previous blog we all make mistakes and make errors. Just keep in mind that you have keep your head up and try to play
better and avoid as best you can making the same mistakes twice or (three times!)
Point being, you can either be the hero or the goat of the game, but you must play to your fullest ability.
SamSolo Melendez...........
I harshly disagree with the anonymous blogger comparing my brother Freddie to Carlos Zambrano.
Zambrano is a selfish prick, Freddie is not. Freddie is more like a Paul O'Neill, intense, passionate and his own worst critic.Stop drinking that HATERADE anonymous, and quit hiding behind your computer!
Havelock Hewes here...
Sam makes a great point about anonymous posts. It is very easy to "hide behind your computer" and be critical of others. While I don't think the Zambrano comment is out of line - a bit of an exaggeration for the writer to make his point - when it is anonymous it seems much less like friendly kidding. Also, when someone posts a critical comment about someone anonymously the person who was criticized is left to think every one of us might have said it.
Havelock,
I wonder if this anonymous writer is the same one that went on a tirade
on you last year with a few of his postings,
and his most recent posts taking shots at Matt Mishkin and Freddie.
Pretty gutless, this anonymous character, if you ask me.
Gutless I am not. Courageous is what I am
for I am the voice of the voiceless!
LOL courageously gutless.,,, the people that put their names by the words that they speak r the deal voice of the people. I say things to make players people around me better,, I gatta say u misunderstood what I was trying to say. Comparing me to zambrano is not even close so that means that ur probably someone who comes what maybe ten times a year if not not a lot for you,, to judge me. I never put down any n I mean any player or person that's around me,, all I was saying was play hard or stay home cause if I'm playing with two dead arms n a frackt up foot n giving my team everything then I expect u to atleast give me 90%. Errors r part a the game but u my so called voice of no reason just made an error. I hope that u come more n see for yourself that I'm the number one Guy cheering my team evrytime, now do I lose my temper? Yes but not at my comrades. God bless you n I hope oneday u will have the guts to put ur name where ur mouth is.
